i think i need to keep polaroids of everyone i meet

do you ever have that experience of bumping into someone you think you know, but don’t know their name, or where you know them from? this happened to me at whole foods today as i was walking out downstairs after purchasing my carrot-orange juice. so there she was walking up and i knew she seemed sort of familiar, but i wasn’t quite sure. i figured if she looked at me, then yes i do in fact know her, and if not then it was just another random thing in life; eventually we made eye contact mid-stairs and just looked at each other… now logically my instinct would be to smile and say hello, but i didn’t want to make the situation any more awkward than it already might have been for her (and smiling at a complete stranger, while holding up the stair traffic can make it more awkward no doubt)… and as we walked away we both looked back; but yet we passed each other, knowing we know each other, but not from when, or where.

i would guess your name was sarah? not sure. but you did look like a sarah, or possibly an anna. and i realize posting this has no relevance to anything and by tomorrow i probably won’t even remember this, but for the time being, i’m stuck trying  to figure this out.
